Holt County is one of the largest in the state. It is bounded on the north by the
Niobrara River, on the east by Knox and Antelope, on the south by Wheeler, on
the west by unorganized territory. There are only two counties larger in the state,
Custer and Lincoln. The county seat is O'Neill.
