Rich County
Created: January 16, 1864
Organized: May 5, 1864
Named for Charles C. Rich
County Seat: Randolph

Originally created as Richland County on January 16, 1864, the name was shortened to Rich on January 29, 1868.
As of the 2010 Census, the population was 2,264, making it the third-least populous county in Utah.
The southern half of Bear Lake and Bear Lake Valley lie on the northern edge of the county.
The Bear River Valley lies in most of the eastern portion of the county.
Much of the county is covered by mountains, including the Bear River Range

There are only four significant settlements in Rich County.
Its county seat is Randolph.
