Pronounced 'Gair-ad', the county was formed in 1797.
It is named for James Garrard, Governor of Kentucky from 1796 to 1804
Its county seat is Lancaster.


Our goal is to help you track your ancestors through time by transcribing genealogical and historical data for the free use of all researchers.
