Thank you for visiting your online gateway to the Greene County Recorder's Office. Here you will find information, forms, fees, requirements, and many answers to your questions about recording documents and searching for information.
The Greene County Recorder's Office preserves many of the community's most important records, ranging from home mortgages and deeds, to business names and military discharge documents. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing you with fast and accurate assistance with your recording and searching needs.
Most documents are recorded the same day we receive them, and our turnaround time is approximately 2-3 days. In 2012, the Greene County Recorder's office handled nearly 6,000 documents and returned over $150,000 in user fees back to Greene County to be distributed into various funds. These funds help preserve the records, pay for required training, supplement property taxes, and many other things, all of which help pay for local government.
We look forward to assisting you any way we can, and we hope that this website helps you get a clearer picture of what we might need when you come to our office to have your document recorded.
