As a Police Department, we honor the values of Service, Integrity, Professionalism and Equality.

Service – Recognition of the gratitude we feel in serving the community we value. Our service extends beyond traditional police roles toward solving problems that impact the quality of life of all who visit, live and work in Lee’s Summit. Our connection to
the community is revealed in our pride in service.

Integrity – Recognition of the necessity to perform our duties with standards of ethical conduct that are exemplary for the profession. We conduct ourselves appropriately not because it is required, but because we believe it is the right thing to do.

Professionalism – Recognition of utilizing effective methods of policing, in coordination with our community, to maintain a safe Lee’s Summit. Staff implements proven strategies, sound training and community engagement to make a difference.

Equality – Recognition of the fact that professional police services are provided to all without regard to who they are. Fair and impartial law enforcement is an important foundation of what we do and is valuable in fostering our relationship with those who we serve. We treat all respectfully, whether this respect is returned or not.
