Volunteers Dedicated to Free Genealogy

Your state host is Gene Phillips
Please send any data submissions to me. I will upload them as soon as possible.
We're looking for folks who share our dedication to putting data online and are interested in helping this project
be as successful as it can be. If you are interested in joining Genealogy Trails, view our Volunteer Page for further information..
(Enough knowledge to make a basic webpage and a desire to transcribe data
is required)
Our goal is to help you track your ancestors through time by transcribing
genealogical and historical data for the free use of all researchers.

We'll be doing the best we can to create a website that you will find
helpful, useful and meaningful as you trace the trails of your ancestors through Leake County until a permanent
host can be found.

We regret that we are unable to perform personal research for folks.
All data we come across will be added to this site.
We thank you for visiting and hope you'll come back again to view the updates we make to this site.

If you can't be a County Host, you can still be a great deal of help.
We need volunteers who will find interesting Leake County documents to transcribe and email to us. We are looking
for the "raw data" information such as Biographies, Deaths, Births, Marriages and Obituaries. There will
be the native Indian history of the area that will be of interest to a lot of people, as well as the Pioneer Families
of the county

Founded in 1833, Leake County is named for Walter Leake,
